Rachael- Milton Glaser

“The real issue is not talent as an independent element, but talent in relationship to will, desire, and persistence. Talent without these things vanishes and even modest talent with those characteristics grows.”

Milton Glaser is an American graphics designer, was schooled New York City’s High School of music and art. With his work slowly integrating within society it was a matter of time before Milton Glaser’s work was known through out the world.1954 founded his first studio called “Pin Push Studio” with some fellow schoolmates. By 1968 Milton Glaser and Clay Flelker founded their own New York Magazine, setting the bar higher for competing magazines by bringing Glasers different and innovative designs to life in the public eye through means of this magazine. In 1877 he moved on, becoming more involve in a new studio of his own, "Milton Glaser Inc." which he had founded/opened in 1974, helping him become one the most celebrated artists of his country. 1983 Milton Galser joint forces with Walt Bernard producing a publication design firm called WBMG. Where he was set to work, producing over 50 magazines, newspapers and periodicals, which were distributed worldwide. Going on to hold exhibitions that made people from all parts of the world stand up and notice

Watching the movie in class on the graphic designers, Milton Glaser's work draws the eye, as it is colourful and free flowing. Yet through the use of silhouettes is structured and contained, which captures a sense of enjoyment within his display of art. The fact that he said he teaches for enjoyments reflects his true love and need to pass on his knowledge.
